Rosanna Tovi

Rosanna "Rosie" Tovi is an international champion, pro champion and U.S. National Medalist. Rosanna took her sport and turned it into art with the launch of World Ice Events, which creates stunning figure skating events and provides a full array of services to major clients in the entertainment, hospitality, and event planning industries. During her work producing the show, Rosie has heard dozens of cancer-related stories and is particularly moved by those of the survivors. Rosie gave her heart and soul into producing the event and she says it has forever changed her life.

Matt Slatus is a 4-time U.S. Junior Olympic competitor. Matt graduated from New York University with a degree in sports business and has worked in the sports industry for the past 6 years with several of the top teams including The Yankees and Madison Square Garden. Matt is incredibly glad this experience reconnected him with his skating roots.

Jack Lipkin has a journalism degree from Johns Hopkins University and has worked for award-winning, international media. He also has 15 years of corporate management experience. Jack directed the communications for Stand Up for Life '09 as a tribute to his high school journalism teacher, Tina Lane, who died of ovarian cancer in February 2009

David Lipowitz is a multi-talented entertainer. He began skating at the Codey Arena at age 6 by the age of 16 he was a U.S. national champion in ice dancing. He is an accomplished piano player and teacher. David enjoys watching his students at Codey Arena strive to attain their dreams.

Paul Demarino was an integral part of Stand Up For Life. The LED screen told a story throughout the show integrated into the skaters routines. Paul’s unique skills and easy manner made the operation run smoothly.  He has since worked his Jumbotron magic with The White House for a political event held at Codey Arena featuring Vice President Biden and Governor Corzine.

David Landau is an award winning and published playwright and screenwriter. He was featured in Life, People, Businessweek and International Time magazines as well as segments on BBC-TV, “That’s Incredible” and “Good Morning America”. David teaches screenwriting and filmmaking at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. Among his many talents is lighting design for broadway shows.

TANIA BASS

Ms. Bass has been dressing actors, dancers, skaters, famous singers and dignitaries for the last 25+ years. Located in the heart of the Theatre District in New York City, Tania Bass International offers the best in skating couture. She is well-known for her couture and custom design services for the high-level competitive skaters, with a long list of celebrity skaters and Olympic champions. Tania provided the breathtaking pink ribbon dress that was auctioned off for Susan G.Komen For The Cure. She also created the dress worn by Oksana Baiul and several other stars in the show.  Tania has a heart of gold and we can never thank her enough!

Heid Vanderhoof created the stunning Wind Beneath My Wings costumes. Heidi is an accomplished skater and coach. Her teaching work for the special olympics has changed the lives of many. Heidi wore many hats in Stand Up For Life from costume designer to seamstress, to wardrobe manager, to life coach, to skater, to choreographer. She is our skating angel!

Andrew Vinokurov is an incredibly talented artist and performer.

His mime act has been performed with Madonna and he

has appeared in movies, TV and commercials. Andrew worked with Rosanna to bring her vision to life with the animations and visual media for the show as well as all the promotional video and graphic design. Andrew creates all the video promotion and media for World Ice Events. His passion and energy for the event touched everyone involved.
